Bianca’s passion for yoga started with her journey to better her physical health after dealing with many emotional challenges and debilitating illnesses over the years. This allows her to bring compassion and understanding to each and every class. Her classes work on gaining better body awareness, focusing on breath, mind and body relaxation, connecting with our essence/higher self and bettering our everyday lifestyles. She understands that all this can be a challenging process and therefore, is determined to create a safe, positive and peaceful environment for every student.

Following is a little interview with Bianca!
What got you into yoga?
I suffered from debilitating illness and emotional issues and needed a change. I also needed something that I felt like I could actually do no matter how little strength I had, or how stiff my body was etc. I was extremely insecure and never had looked at myself in a positive light and new it was time to fight through that and rise back up to something better. Without realizing why I chose yoga, I just came across a class and dragged my mom to attend with me. We left class 'floating' out of the room and I was hooked. That started my journey without even knowing it. It just happened.
Favourite thing about your yoga teacher training?
The best part was just being able to do yoga and meditation everyday, being consistent. It really helped me realize why these things are so important to incorporate into our everyday lifestyle. I also was lucky to get an amazing group of people to share the experience with and created a few bonds that will last a lifetime. During the training I also loved (funny enough) that I injured myself.. twice haha (wrists and back) This gave me the chance to have a deeper understanding of what not to do; pushing when I shouldn't have been, listening to my body better and so fourth. Now I get to pass on that knowledge and allow people to really learn from my mistakes.
Go to grounding practice?
Honestly, I love my tv shows. It allows me to completely zone out in another world. I usually light a candle or put the diffuser on as I watch to add to the relaxation of it. That is more for the mental side of things. For my physical grounding, I love being out in nature.. going for walks alone if I can, but if not I will grab my fiance to come with me since we both enjoy walking in silence and exploring through the ravine in silence. (I find that silence is the key for this)
Favourite things about teaching private lessons?
I love teaching private lessons over group classes because it allows me to work one on one with someone. It gives them a chance to feel even more comfortable, to be vulnerable and develop trust between teacher and student. This is extremely important if the student is looking to make major growth in not only the physical but spiritual. The client gets to be in the comfort of their own home and it's very beautiful when someone opens their doors to you and accepts the help that you're willing to give.
