Get to know your potential My Personal Yoga Teacher a bit better: Megs Emerson!
Megs has been teaching yoga since 2014. She completed her teacher training in Brampton, ONT and has been teaching full time ever since. She is dedicated to continuing education surrounding yoga & meditation and how the practice can assist with trauma, addiction, mental health and physical injury.
Megs teaches in: Orangeville, Shelburne, Erin, and Mono.
Meg’s experiences include: Meditation, Pranayama, Hatha, Chair Yoga, Yoga for Anxiety, Yoga for Addiction, Vinyasa, Yin, Reiki.
Following is a little interview with Megs!
What got you into yoga?
My first yoga class was in college but I really dedicated to my practice after a panic attack that landed me in the hospital.
Favourite thing about teaching private sessions?
I love teaching privately because it allows me to get to know the client and work with their personal goals, plus they get to express themselves however they want!
Go to grounding practice:
I get grounded by walking in nature. I am lucky enough to live in the country right on a river with lots of options for the Bruce Trail all around me.
What do you value most in a friendship?
I value integrity and compassion the most in a friendship.
What are you most grateful for these days?
I am so grateful for my family, including all the 4 legged friends!

My long time, forever favourite band is Pearl Jam or anything that Eddie Vedder does
